The SUPPER CLUB in Greensburg, Pennsylvania

Carolyn C. Holland

I’ve been remiss. A new restaurant, THE SUPPER CLUB, opened in mid-June at the Greensburg Train Station, Greensburg, Pennsylvania.  Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity to dine there yet—perhaps soon it will happen.

Scroll down for information on its upcoming events:

FARM FESTIVAL—Sunday, August 8th, 12 noon to 4:00 p.m.

LOCAL BEER DINNER— Sunday, August 8th,  5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

One of Laurel Mountain Borough’s residents, and a Beanery Writer’s Group member, Deb Driggers, is president/operations manager of the business. She not only lives on Maple Road, she’s connected with the Beanery Writers Group. When you visit, be sure to let Debbie know of your Laurel Mountain Borough and/or your Beanery Writers Group connection.

Deb spent the last two decades in private, non-profit management positions. Three years ago she took advantage of an opportunity to work in the restaurant business with her son-in-law and daughter, Greg and Ashlee Andrews. Greg is better known as “Chef Andrews.”

The Supper Club is their second restaurant venture.

Deb is thrilled to work with and learn from Greg and Ashlee as they build the best dining experience in the Westmoreland County region.

According to The Supper Club’s website, a supper club is “A dining establishment with a high class image yet affordable to all.”  A place where guests can spend the entire evening, from cocktail hour to appetizers to dinner featuring American style fare while enjoying a casual, relaxed and social atmosphere.

The Supper Club, located in the heart of Greensburg’s cultural district, caters to theatre patrons, business travelers, friends, families and local foodies. Diners experience exceptional food and outstanding guest service in its multi-concept establishment.

Each concept of the restaurant has its own special features. The Gastropub offers seasonal cocktails, premium spirits, wines by the glass and craft beers along with updated casual fare from unique burgers and pizzas to interesting appetizers, fresh salads, sustainable seafood dishes and modernized comfort food.

In the Farm Table Dining Room patrons select from a seasonal market-driven menu, which changes weekly according to the local supply of sustainable and organic ingredients. Food is prepared from scratch, showcasing their true flavors Fresh made desserts and full wine by the bottle list to compliment your experience. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate.

A chic and sophistacted seating area and wine bar, overlooking the main Gastropub, characterizes The Wine Loft Lounge. It offers trendy and ecclectic new world wines along with local artisanal cheeses, cured meats and specially paired appetizers.

The Chefs Table is designed for diners who want a truly “one of a kind” dining experience. Patrona sit in the heart of our real working kitchen to enjoy a multi-course Chef’s Tasting Menu, specially created by Chef Greg Andrews.

The Supper Club features a variety of special events…

  1. I f I were to buy a home in Laurel Mt. Borough, would I be allowed to park my Motorhome on my property when not travelling?

  2. It sounds nice; but, a little too expesive, probably for me! It sounds like it is more than one restaurant, maybe, a few little restaraunts rolled into one? Anyhow, as I like to travel by train, maybe, someday soon, or one-day rather, when I travel and the restaurant is open, and providing I have enough money with me; I’ll try to check it out! Or when I’m in Greensburg, and I have some extra money to blow, (if that will ever happen, perhaps one day I will have plenty!), I will make a point to try dining there! It does sound delicious, and like a real nice place!
