“Getting Published in the Adult Fiction Market”

The workshop will present a current review about today’s traditional publishers and literary agents, as well as those ugly “rejection” letters first time authors continue to receive and how to handle them. A significant portion of this workshop will discuss the traditional small publishers and the ePublishers, how to submit your work to them, and signing a publisher’s contracts. Ligonier Valley YMCA as part of its 2009 Y Arts Program.

Presented by Barb Miller, a teacher in the graduate Writing Popular Fiction Program at Seton Hill University . She has published historical novels, mysteries, young adult books and a paranormal mystery.

The workshop will step you through writing a scary or surprising ghost story— through creating a scary ghost, using the senses to heighten suspense, and coming up with that all-important twist at the end.

The Last Thursday of the Month Luncheon Group is going through some changes. We are in the process of becoming one of the first new Chapters within Pennwriters! Also, we are moving.
