DEDICATED TO MY MOTHER

Maryanne E. Hoffman

Our guest writer on Birth Mother’s Day, and on the eve of Mother’s Day, is Maryanne E. Hoffman, a Western Pennsylvania writer. She dedicated her book, Older Women’s Rights, to her mother, as a result of seeing her mother mistreated in an elderly care home, and being in the position of having no power to correct the situation.

 To my Mother

You are the inspiration for the creation of this book. I admire your unshaken perseverance and spiritual inner strength, as you endure the torturous and unjust situation you are forced to live against your will. Your beautiful spirit is the spark that ignited my heart to advocate and write on behalf of older women’s rights.

You exemplify a dignified woman of noble character, with Godly conviction, a strong work ethic, the highest of integrity and unceasing dedication to your children and grandchildren, especially during the past twenty-one years of widowhood.

Your gifted intuition, knowledge of nutrition, vast interest in preventive medicine and your constant support and celebration of my creative endeavors continues to be a powerful influence in my life.

Your enthusiasm, sense of humor, generosity and kindhearted ways endears you to everyone. You are a heroine to me and many others.

Thank you mother for your unconditional love. You are a star in my heart.

Author Maryanne E. Hoffman wrote this book not only to reach out to women, but to speak to men and family members. It discusses Alzeheimer’s, natural remedies over chemical drugs, secrets to longevity, and nutritional diet. It asks the             question, “Your home or a nursing home?”

Maryanne has written several other books, including The Rainbow in Your Life and Color Therapy for Children.

  1. How many treasures and gifts from God would have been uncovered and shared with the world if we all had mother’s like that! I wonder how different the world would be?
