As the facilitator of the Beanery Writers Group, I’m often asked What goes on at the meetings? Dmitri, who had recently acquired a new camera, captured the essence of one meeting—by arranging some of his pictures to demonstrate what happens when there is a disagreement between members.

Whatever the dispute was, it was resolved as always…good humoredly and with great wisdom. In the end, the meeting continued, with no bad feelings, and ended happily.
Yes, we have fun at the meetings. But we always accomplish something—our goal is to meet the needs of local writers, in all genres, to the best of our abilities.
We invite writers in the community to join us. We meet at the back room of the Coffee Bean Cafe in Latrobe (PA) on the second and fourth Fridays each month (except for theforth Fridays in November and December).
Some people gather around noon to socialize.
The official meeting is from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
