FORGETTING THE DREAD
Kern F. Little
seemly lost
walked alone
fog filled
dark horizons
envelop our
minds
walking
head down
knowing
where I am
where I’ve
been
but never
where I’m
going
sunset breaks
knowledge
awaits
for those
once lost
soaking in
sun’s warmth
eyes now
off feet
looking forward
to be enlightened
but still
seemingly frightened
we must
raise our
heads
forgetting
the dread
finally to
listen and
learn
from what
other’s
have said
