—written by Emily
Too many people are dying and crying
while being swept under society’s rug
Too many mothers are helplessly sighing
while dead beat dads walk off and shrug
What is the planet coming to,
as the whole world falls to it’s knees
Why can’t we all come together
to selflessly focus on others needs
Don’t turn your back on those in need
it could just as easily be you
who walks the roughest road and bleeds
without a single soul to turn to
Hold a trembling child
who pleadingly looks into your eyes
If only to give them a smile
and tell them that its alright
I’m not saying you should move mountains
just give freely whenever you can
For each child that we encourage
could someday grow to save this land
